Preserve-An-Acre
Preserve-an-Acre is a unique program that allows TLT to preserve 1 acre of farmland in Clark or Greene county for a $50 donation.  The donation covers costs associated with placing a conservation easement on the land.  The recipient will be sent a beautiful certificate.

On February 22, 1999, all 940 acres of historic, Whitehall Farm went up for auction in 34 separate tracts.  The community of Yellow Springs sprang into action to stop development on the farm.  Individuals and businesses hosted events, raised money and attended the auction with little more than a hope and a prayer to SAVE THE FARM!

The Tecumseh Land Trust of Greene and Clark Counties is a private, not-for-profit conservation organization. Its purpose is to preserve agricultural land, open space, and historic structures in voluntary cooperation with landowners and their heirs, and to educate the public about methods of private land conservation. When current Projects are complete, we will have preserved over 16,000 acres in our working area with the support of over 500 members.
